The delegation from San Sebastian, made up of Susana Soto Aranzadi, Director of the San Telmo Museum in San Sebastian, Denis Itxaso González, Councillor Delegate for Culture and Youth of the San Sebastian City Council, and the Director of Donostia Cultura, Antton Azpitarte Lizaso, will meet with MARQ technicians on Wednesday, 13 January, to exchange experiences in the field of heritage and museum management between the two centres. With this visit, they will resume the contact initiated with the MARQ in 2007 during the execution of the refurbishment and extension project of the museum in San Sebastian, works that took as a model, among others, the refurbishment carried out by the Diputación de Alicante in the old Hospital de San Juan de Dios, a building that currently houses the MARQ.
The delegation from the San Telmo Archaeological Museum will be travelling to the MARQ to learn more about the management and operation model of the Alicante museum, as well as to explore in depth its programme of activities and research.
