EASTER HOLIDAYS

EASTER HOLIDAYS IN THE MARQ ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARKS

ACTIVITIES FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

Find out what a typical day was like in the city of Lucentum in the 1st century AD or in the Iberian settlement of Illeta dels Banyets, some 2,300 years ago.

Walk around the archaeological site and discover those places recovered by archaeology, such as the baths, temples, forum, walls, houses, shops, streets, etc.
From the excavations, you will learn "in situ" how the Iberian and Roman inhabitants dressed, what their objects and personal belongings were, how they interacted and, in short, what their daily life was like.

In addition, to conclude, all participants will be able to take part in a workshop in which we will reproduce some of the pieces found and exhibited at MARQ.

Registration through the MARQ telephone number is compulsory.

A day at...LUCENTUM

To enter Lucentum, we will first have to pass through the soldiers guarding the eastern gate. They will explain to us how they defended their city from enemy attacks. Once inside, we will look for the Forum to "do business" and interact with other "citizens". Later we will shop in the "tabernae", enjoy a relaxing time in the Thermae and finally we will visit a typical Roman Domus.

A day at...LA ILLETA

At the El Campello site we will discover the remains of a prehistoric hut. They will explain how they were built and what objects were found inside. We will go back in time to the Iberian period. After visiting their dwellings, warehouses and wine presses, we will stop at one of their temples and make an "offering" to the gods. Before leaving, we will come across some nurseries, a villa and Roman baths.
