The MARQ is visited by a delegation from the Directorate of Culture and Heritage of the Languedoc-Roussillon region.
The visit to MARQ on 11 October was part of the tour that the French delegation is making to museums and institutions of the European museum scene with the aim of designing the project to present the Roman Archaeology collections in the new Archaeological Museum of Narbonne, an initiative promoted by the Directorate of Culture and Heritage of the Languedoc-Roussillon region.
The delegation, led by Mme Josianne Collerais (Vice-President of the Conseil Régional, responsible for Culture), was composed of M. Fabrice Manuel (Director of the Culture and Heritage Service of the Conseil Régional), M. Pierre Franqueville (Director of the ABCD agency, responsible for the planning of the future museum) and Ambroise LASSALLE, Curator of Heritage.
During their visit, the Gallic technicians toured the MARQ facilities and were interested in the programme of activities and research of the Alicante museum as well as the particularities of its management and the innovative museographic proposal of the MARQ, which in 2004 was distinguished with the European Museum of the Year Award.
