MARQ is a candidate for the Telefónica Ability Awards in the Accessibility category.
FINALISTS:
MARQ has been selected as a finalist for the Telefónica Ability Awards in the Accessibility category. These awards give the distinction of Ability Company to the companies and organisations that best integrate disability into their business and management model.
The jury, made up of some thirty representatives from ministries, universities, trade unions, business and social associations and people linked to the world of disability, selected the finalists for this award on 11 November.
A total of 458 applications were submitted, of which 371 met the requirements. After the second phase of the selection process, the different organisations were asked to provide evidence of the good practices carried out in the field of disability in their centres. The highest scoring companies were visited by PwC, the Independent Verification Body.
The organisations selected as Ability Companies include companies from different sectors such as Healthcare, Insurance, Information Technology, Transport and Finance, as well as public institutions and SMEs.
The awards ceremony will take place on 17 January 2011, where the winners of the nine categories will be announced.
