European Road Race Walking Championships

 

 

Next weekend, the European Road Race Walking Championships will be held in the French city of Thionville (Metz) from 13 to 15 May, where our MARQ teammate, Francisco Martín, from Alicante, will compete in two races over the distances of 10km and 30km, where he will have the chance to win a medal in one of the two.

Last March, at the European Indoor Championships in the 3km distance, he won a silver medal and a Spanish record, which was a surprise, as he found out on his arrival in Alicante that he held the national record for the distance.

This championship will be the culmination of the good season he is having at the absolute and veteran level, placing him among the top ten national absolutes and among the best in the world at the veteran level.
