In charge of the "engine room" of the MARQ since its inauguration, our colleague Francisco (Paco) Guillén, on reaching the regulatory age, has passed into retirement. Congratulations on this, congratulations to his family and congratulations, above all, for the work carried out during these more than 10 years.
It is only fair to recognise in a museum of the MARQ's characteristics, with more than 250,000 annual visitors and at the forefront in everything related to its exhibition proposal, as was evident in the award for the best European of the year 2004, the figure of the maintenance manager; Paco Guillén. He is responsible for the correct state of all the museum's installations, those that can be seen and those that cannot be seen: lighting, projectors, touch screens, air conditioning, cleaning, telephony, electrical installation, video servers, and a long etcetera.
Paco has been a key player in the running of the museum and in the good perception that visitors have of it, with very high marks in all aspects supervised by him.
But above all, he has been responsible on a daily basis for something that at first sight goes unnoticed by both visitors and MARQ workers, but on his correct execution and supervision has depended a large part of the success of this museum: the "switching on" or start-up of the museum. The switching on of the lighting in the rooms, the start-up of the projectors and projections, the air conditioning parameters and a long list of vitally important daily tasks.
On the 3rd of June, the MARQ staff wanted to show him all their affection and consideration during an intimate lunch.
Congratulations and thank you for your dedication over the years.
