The athlete from Alicante, Paco Martín, has been proclaimed World champion in the 10km walk, both individually and by teams, in the category of veterans between 35 and 40 years old. Martín adds a new medal to his list of honours after he also climbed up to the second step of the podium last Thursday and won the silver medal in the 3km indoor race-walking distance, in which he is also the national record holder.
Paco Martín will never forget the World Championships in Finland, where he has demonstrated the great moment of form in which he finds himself and which he hopes to be able to transfer to the senior category, in which he continues to compete in very select events. His next sporting objective is to compete in the Division of Honour league with Puerto de Alicante and the assault on the Spanish senior championship in the 20km walk distance, two challenges for which the Alicante athlete is already working with total dedication.
