MARQ and its archaeological sites hold Open Days on 9 and 12 October
The MARQ and the archaeological sites of the Tossal de Manises -Lucentum-and La Illeta dels Banyets -El Campello- will celebrate Open Days the days 9 y 12 of this month on the occasion of the festivities of 9 October and Columbus Day.
In this way, the public will be able to visit from the 10:00 to 19:00 hours and free of charge the permanent collection of the Alicante centre, as well as the temporary exhibition "The Treasure of the Barbarians", which is extending its exhibition period until next Sunday 28 October due to the interest it has aroused among the public.
Since it opened its doors at the end of March, more than 50,500 people have visited this international exhibition at the Alicante Archaeological Museum, which shows the beginnings of the decline of the Roman Empire on the Germanic frontiers, as well as various aspects of the daily life of the inhabitants of these territories (3rd century AD).
The archaeological parks of Tossal de Manises and La Illeta dels Banyets will also be celebrating these festivities by opening their facilities from 10:00 to 14:00 on 9 and 12 October.
