Guided tours in sign language at the MARQ

The Archaeological Museum of Alicante has launched the campaign "guided visits by a deaf guide". l'Associació de Persones Sordes de L'Alacantí -APESOA-.The MARQ aims to improve the quality of life of this group, while promoting their autonomy and integration in different social spheres. 

A total of 25 people with hearing disabilities visited the temporary exhibition "Santa Pola. Archaeology and Museum" together with the guide Mª José Cebrián, in charge of leading the tour and explaining the contents of the exhibition through sign language.

With this type of initiative, the MARQ reinforces its commitment to disabled groups and continues to work on accessibility programmes as a key element to ensure that everyone can access the archaeological heritage of the province of Alicante.
