At MARQ we are celebrating this weekend the 'World Down Syndrome Day' with a guided tour of the Ibero-Roman city of Lucentum, in the Tossal de Manises. Through this cultural activity, which will take place the next Saturday 23 March at 11:00 a.m.our museum aims to raise awareness and sensitise society about the reality, rights, capacities and worth of this group.
In this way, people with Down's Syndrome and their families who wish to participate will be able to enjoy a guided tour of the archaeological site in order to to know and understand what life was like in a Roman city in the 1st century AD..C. y strolling through its streets, thermal baths and forum.
The proposal, developed in collaboration with the Alicante Down's Syndrome Associationalso includes the activity 'Find Publiowhere participants will have to solve an enigma through games and riddles. This is a fun initiative that will allow them to enjoy a different experience and learn values of respect for archaeological heritage.
