A Night at MARQ

A new activity has been added to the wide range of educational activities that MARQ has been developing: A NIGHT AT THE MARQ. With this activity, the museum has rewarded the school groups that have participated in the "The Museum of the Arts".MARQ Educational Projects"They have enjoyed an experience that has allowed them to live a night full of adventures and have approached the world of archaeology in a fun way.

Pupils in the third cycle of Primary Education at the C.P. Santo Domingo de Alicante  have been the winners of this magical night.

Different characters from History came to life...,and our intrepid night adventurers were visited by CavernusHe told them where his people lived, what they ate, how they hunted, how they made their tools, why they painted in their caves, what animals lived in our lands, how fire was made, how they made their clothes and ornaments. The night also surprised them with Ilduni a brave Iberian warrior from Contestania who told them about his adventures and transported them back to the 4th century BC. On this night we could not miss PopilioHe was a wealthy freedman living in Lucentum and showed them his baths, his forum, his shops, and also had time to inspect the cargo leaving for Rome and show them the amphorae filled with garum and Roman wine.

But all that glitters is not gold, because one of the characters was an impostor and our nocturnal adventurers had to find out who he was...

All these characters, who came to life at the MARQ, provided them with clues to solve "the Magic Word Game"and ... like history's shrewd detectives they managed to arrive at the correct solution to the test.

Finally, it was time to go to bed and they did it in the most traditional way... with a bedtime story, but in this case it was a very special one: the story that they all wrote together .....

Good evening ............... at MARQ
