The MARQ collaborates with Monforte del Cid in the creation of a website about the History Museum of the municipality.

The History Museum of the Town of Monforte del Cid has as of today a website which offers citizens an interactive space in which to discover the contents of this cultural centre. A team composed of MARQ professionals has been in charge of the production and design of this new site which provides detailed information about the rooms, the exhibits and the opening hours of the museum.

Through this initiative, the MARQ aims to to create an open channel of expression including all local museums and monuments in the province.. This section is located on the Alicante centre's own website and can be accessed by all Internet users.

The Museum of the History of the Town of Monforte del Cid houses one of the most important collections of Iberian sculpture on the peninsula. Its pieces, which have recently been discovered, come from a vast necropolis area located next to the Vinalopó river and in the centre of the South Valley of the Medio Vinalopó region.

 In addition, the centre exhibits a large number of pieces rescued during the excavations of the Roman villas in its municipal area.The most important of which are the Agualeja and the Baños, and a wide repertoire composed by the contributions from the municipality's neighbours and chance finds that have been produced in the agricultural area of the orchard.

The MARQ collaborate for many years with the local council in this town in archaeological and heritage matters. Since 2008, it has also been working together with the city council on the preparation of the museum's preliminary project and, more recently, in the development of the Museum of History of the Town of Monforte del Cidwhich was inaugurated in March 2011. As a result of this assistance and dedication, the creation of this new website is now born.
