The MARQ paid tribute to the researcher Gabriela Martín for her contribution to the archaeology of Alicante.

 

Yesterday in the auditorium of the MARQ, a tribute was paid to the Researcher Gabriela Martín for her professional career and for the important role that the archaeologist has played in the history of research into Alicante's archaeological heritage.

         The event was attended by MARQ's technical director Manuel Olcinawho gave the lecture "Roman fisheries on the Alicante coast forty-three years later", and the teacher Mauro S. Hernándezwho gave the lecture "Gabriela Martín, an archaeologist on the shores of a sea and an ocean".

         For his part, Professor Lorenzo Abad talked about "Els Antigons-Lucentum and a lost Roman city in Alicante", while the expert Carmen Araneguí did so on the Gabriela Martín's contribution to Alicante's archaeology.

         Finally, the honoree addressed a few words to all those present.
