The MARQ cedes 23 pieces to Aspe Town Council to be exhibited in the Municipal Historical Museum.

 

The MARQ temporarily relinquish 23 archaeological pieces at Aspe Town Council to be exhibited in the permanent collection of the Historical Museum of the municipality.The President of the Diputación of Alicante Luisa Pastor and the local mayor Manuel Díez have signed this morning the collaboration agreement that will allow this action to be carried out and which will be valid for three years.

The event was also attended by the deputy for Culture Juan Bautista Rosellóthe councillor of Culture of the city council Myriam Molina and the technical director of the Alicante museum Manuel Olcina.

Pastor highlighted the importance of this agreement, which will allow the rich local heritage and cultural past that Aspe treasures to be valued, disseminated and brought closer to the citizens through material collections dating from the Bronze Age to the Almohad period.

         La Horna, Tabaya and River Castle are the sites in Aspas from which these pieces come from, among which three stand out ceramic vessels from the Late Bronze Age (1300-1100 BC) and a jarrito,also ceramicThe most important of its historical value are also a loom weight and a stone sharpener from the Middle Bronze Age.
