The Foundation of the Valencian Community MARQ and the El Campello Town Council will collaborate for the second consecutive year in the tourist and cultural promotion of the archaeological site of the Illeta dels Banyets. The President of the Diputación de Alicante, Luisa Pastorand the local mayor, Juanjo BerenguerThis morning, they signed the agreement which will regulate these actions and which includes, as its main activity, the carrying out of dramatised visits to the enclave. The event, held at the FITUR International Tourism Trade Fair, was also attended by the Tourism Deputy Joaquín Albaladejo and councillors Lorena Baeza and Marita Carratalá.
Thus, citizens will be able to discover various aspects related to its origins and to learn the history of its past together with the people who inhabited the site at that time, from the Iberian world to the 16th century. This initiative will start in Easter with three screenings that will take place on the following days 18,19 and 20 April at 12:00 noon. Tickets can be purchased through instanticket.es.
A total of fifteen dramatised visits make up this activity which, under the title 'La Illeta,Cradle of Civilisations'will last until next September. The aim of this initiative is to bring this archaeological site, one of the most important in the Valencian Community, closer to the citizens, to promote and disseminate it, not only among the residents of El Campello but also among the tourists who visit the municipality.
In addition, the collaboration agreement signed this morning includes the development of joint activities such as courses,exhibitions, congresses or workshops and the promotion and dissemination of the site by the Tourist Office of the municipality. -The information is available on the Internet or in the form of brochures and leaflets.
In addition, the MARQ and the El Campello Town Council will draw up protocols for action in order to leveraging resources, the possibilities, the products and the offer of the archaeological park through social networks -Facebook, Twitter, etc.- or with the organisation of protocol visits, familiarisation trips or press trips.
