MARQ continues this month with its programme of cultural activities for the whole family

 

Educational workshops,guided tours or excursions in the family to the sites of the Tossal de Manises and the Illeta dels Banyets are some of the proposals that the Archaeological Museum of Alicante offers to citizens during this month. During the Saturdays 8, 15 and 22 February an activity for children between 8 and 12 years old will be developed, allowing youngsters to enjoy the contents of the centre while learning and having fun playing with ceramics, paints and tiles.

         For their part, the Sundays 9 and 23 February will take place a excursion which combines a view of the museum  with another at archaeological site of the Illeta dels Banyetsin El Campello. Those wishing to take part in this activity, aimed at the whole family, can obtain more information and register in advance by contacting the following address marqalicante-classic-admin.qwair.com. The organisers recommend wearing sports clothing and footwear, a cap, sun cream, sunglasses and a drink.

         Also this month, the MARQ is planning to open a new exhibition, entitled "Orihuela.Archaeology and Museum", is an opportunity for visitors to get to know first-hand and enjoy the rich historical and heritage legacy of this municipality in the Vega Baja. On the occasion of this exhibition, the following have been organised guided tours for the general public. In particular, two guided tours for people with disabilities have been programmed, one of them will take place on Saturday 22 February for members and family members of the Down Syndrome Association of Alicante and another on wednesday 26th for those in the ONCE.

         The museum also offers the possibility for the public to learn about the archaeological site from Tossal de Manisesin Lucentum, by means of a guided tour which will take place on Sunday 16 February.
