The MARQ will show for the first time in Spain an exhibition on Vikings organised together with the National Museum of Denmark.

   

        The project is complemented by a in-house production titled "Vikings in Alicante". and focused on unravelling the characteristics and consequences of the raids in the Mediterranean coast

       Under the name "Vikings. Lords of the North. Giants of the Sea".the Archaeological Museum of Alicante is preparing a new cultural proposal, unpublished in Spainwhich will be exhibited from May to January 2017 in collaboration with the National Museum of Denmark.

         The MARQ's new project looks at one of the cultures and civilisations of the Nordic peoples most exciting in history. The Vikings exhibition will allow, for the first time in Spainone of the most important state museums in Europe, the Copenhagen national.

   In addition, the project will be complemented by an exhibition of in-house production titled "Vikings in Alicante". and focused on unravelling the characteristics and consequences of the raids in the Mediterranean coast of these warriors from the Northern Europe.

   Both the Alicante and Danish museums are finalising the details of this new exhibition and will soon hold a meeting in Copenhagen to discuss the new exhibition. coordinating work teams in view of the forthcoming inauguration.
