Vikings invade Alicante's Postiguet beach

The adventurous and brave protagonists of MARQ's new international exhibition "Vikings.Northern Warriors.Giants of the Sea" will disembark tomorrow Wednesday in the city of Alicante in a totally spectacular way, because the Provincial Government has designed a original and attractive promotional campaign to disseminate the contents of this unprecedented exhibition, which will be inaugurated on Thursday 19 May.

The well-known El Postiguet beach has been the chosen setting for this unique action to develop the street marketing which provides for the landing of a group of Vikings perfectly dressed in the typical costumes of the time. The fearsome 'men from the north' will arrive in Alicante by boat, after crossing the waters of the Mediterranean, where they will take over the town singing songs and performing some of their rituals. Afterwards, will tour the streets of the city with the objective of promoting the exhibition and hand out free tickets to visit the exhibition. In short, an unusual proposal in which moments of spectacle will be experienced and to which all citizens are invited.

The Deputy for Culture, César Augusto Asencioexplained that "Through this initiative, the Provincial Government aims to bring culture closer to the citizens and make them participate in the different recreational and didactic proposals that the MARQ carries out throughout the year.".
