A year ago, the MARQ presented an award to the child Lucía Guirado, a participant in the project "Un Hospital de Cuento", carried out by the Didactic Unit of the MARQ together with the Paediatrics Service of the General Hospital of Alicante, for the benefit of children hospitalised for long periods, mainly in oncology.
Lucía won the prize for the best mascot for this project with "Chispita", a beautiful little flame of fire, the protagonist of the series of stories that have been produced by the Didactic Unit with the children in the Hospital. The first of these stories, dedicated to Prehistory, has already been published but Lucía had not yet seen it. Today the technical director of the MARQ, Manuel Olcina, and the managing director of the MARQ Foundation, Josep Albert Cortés, presented her with her story and she learned that her creation, "Chispita", will become a beautiful doll that will have multiple and generous functions. The event ended with Lucia, her mother and grandmother signing the MARQ's Book of Honour.
