The Marq's assembly hall yesterday hosted the awards ceremony for the "VIVENCIAS III" competition, a contest in which the elderly successfully put their literary and artistic talents to the test through their participation in various categories: short stories about the experiences, memory and memories of the Province of Alicante such as old professions, education, customs, daily life, fashion... and also in the Drawing and Painting category, whose theme could be the Façade of the MARQ, the Tossal de Manises, the Illeta dels Banyets, the Pla de Petracos, the Torre de Almudaina, the Torre de les Maçanes and the Cava Gran de Agres.

The Didactics Unit of the Marq Foundation has been the organiser of this initiative, in which students from the ASAUTE Alicante Senior Citizen Classrooms have participated.

A very emotional evening, chaired by the Deputy for Social Welfare, Miguel Zaragoza, and not to be missed by the Technical Director of the Marq, Manuel Olcina. In their speeches, both agreed on highlighting as a fundamental value the wisdom that our grandparents, and in general our elders, contribute to our development as people in today's society. Also present at the event was the coordinator of the Didactics Unit, Gema Sala, representing the Managing Director of the C.V.-Marq Foundation.
