Camí Obert rewards the effort and dedication of its students

A total of 69 young people, aged between 16 and 39, received their diplomas yesterday after completing one of the Basic Qualification Training Programmes, adapted to people with permanent special educational needs, which APSA implements every year through the Camí Obert centre at its Elche, Alicante and Alfaz sites.

It was a very emotional ceremony that marked the end of a pre-employment training module, which was presided over by the Deputy for People's Welfare, Miguel Zaragoza, accompanied by the Manager of APSA, Carlos Giner and the Director of APSA's Training Department, Fernando Romero. The students, after the projection of an audiovisual with the best moments of the course, collected their diplomas, before the attentive gaze of their parents and relatives, and with joy still on their faces, participated in the traditional family photo of all the graduates.

Camí Obert is a training centre for adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities aged between 16-26 years; a necessary learning for their positioning as young adults, in which they develop all those skills that are useful for access to their personal life, at home and in the community. The educational objective of the centre is the development of the highest possible level of autonomy, based on the potential of each student.

There are three Basic Qualification Training Programmes in the specialities of Auxiliary Operations in Administrative and General Services, Auxiliary Activities in Nurseries, Gardens and Garden Centres and Cleaning of Surfaces and Furniture in Buildings and Premises.
