The Royal British Museum Columbia in Victoria, Canada, has expressed its interest in hosting the international exhibition Mayas. The enigma of the lost citiescurrently at the Marq until 7 January 2018. With this in mind, its deputy director, Scott Cooper, and its head of exhibitions, Michael Barnes, were received yesterday at the Marq by the Managing Director of the Marq Foundation, José Alberto Cortés, and by the Museum's Technical Director, Manuel Olcina, and made a technical visit to the exhibition, They highlighted not only the extraordinary quality of its pieces, but also the imposing exhibition project designed by Rocamora Arquitectura, and especially the accessibility resources that accompany it, whose acoustic, musical and olfactory notes transport us to the depths of the Mesoamerican jungle, the cradle of the Mayan culture.
The Canadian delegation, accompanied by Peter Elsässer and Siegfried Brugger from Museumspartner, were very interested in getting to know the Marq and its exhibition programme and took advantage of the intense days of meetings in Alicante to exchange experiences and share the management models of their respective cultural centres.
