Mayas. The Enigma of the Lost Cities, more than 50,000 visitors

On 30 September, the international Maya exhibition registered 50,609 visitors since it opened to the public on 25 May. The interest aroused by this spectacular exhibition on Mayan culture is on the way to exceed all expectations... more than 13,000 people have taken part in the guided tours and more than 1,000 have so far enjoyed the dramatised shows, specially programmed to bring the enigmas of this Mesoamerican civilisation to the youngest members of the family.

The MARQ has scheduled two Open Days to invite locals and visitors to enter the Guatemalan jungle and admire the nearly 200 pieces that make up this impressive collection of Mayan art: Monday 9 October, Day of the Valencian Community, and Thursday 12 October, Columbus Day. On these days, the Marq and the Lucentum and Illeta dels Banyets sites will be open from 10 am to 2 pm, the Almudaina Tower from 10 am to 1 pm and admission will be free.

Mayas. The enigma of the lost cities will remain in the temporary galleries of the Marq until 7 January 2018.
