The Mayans defy the cold in Alicante

Cold and sunny. This is how Constitution Day dawned in Alicante, a holiday that many Alicante residents and visitors, a total of 793, took advantage of to come to the Marq and get a closer look at the fantastic exhibition Mayas. The enigma of the lost cities. Once again, families have been the majority of the public who have chosen the museum to spend this winter morning, as it is an avant-garde and very attractive exhibition design that excites young and old alike. Mayas' scenographic project has been awarded the Emporia de Oro 2017 prize for the best Assembly of a non-travelling ephemeral Exhibition in Spain. This amazing exhibition, made up of more than 200 pieces from the Guatemalan jungle, will remain at the Marq until 7 January 2018.

The archaeological sites and monuments managed by the Marq were also very popular on this festive Wednesday: Lucentum, the Illeta dels banyets and the Almohad Tower of Almudaina attracted 159 visitors.
