Roman lucernas on display for the first time outside the province

 

 

The travelling exhibition "Light of Rome" leaves our province for the first time to reach Molina de Segura, in the Region of Murcia. The extraordinary collection of oil lamps from the Roman period can be visited at the Enclave Museum of the City Wall from 8 March until 31 May.

This is a unique collection of Roman skylights that will give us an insight into their usefulness,breitling replica watches the shape and decoration of these small objects, which changed over the centuries of Roman rule. We will be able to follow a chronological journey through the pieces, from the oldest to the most recent, starting in the Iberian period. The main part of the exhibition focuses on pieces from the Roman period, divided into its different stages: Republican, High-Imperial, Low-Imperial and Late Roman.

The exhibition is made up of a total of 43 pieces from the collections of the MARQ, the Monographic Museum of La Alcudia in Elche and the Municipal Archaeological Museum of Elda.

"Luz de Roma" has previously been exhibited in the Sala Noble of the MARQ Library, Callosa, Sax, Cocentaina, Elche and Crevillente and has been seen by almost 25,000 people.
