A new edition of the solidarity rally kicks off

Today the UniRaid team sets off for Algeciras where the competition officially begins, taking four students from the Miguel Hernández University across the Sahara desert.

A group of future engineers who will put their spirit of adventure to the test with an altruistic aim: to take 120 kilos of solidarity material to the neediest children in the towns they will pass through during 7 stages of the Dakar; no less than 5,000 extremely hard kilometres that they will have to cover with only a map, a compass, a roadbook and their driving skills.

The managing director of the MARQ Foundation, José Alberto Cortés, wished the young people, Borja Gallud, Alfonso Ases, Thomas Potton and Antonio Alcaina, farewell and promised them to visit the MARQ with their vehicles on their return from Morocco.
