Tomorrow, 8th March, is International Women's Day, and the MARQ employees have decided to join together to read the Valencian Pact against Gender Violence, which will take place at midday in the Museum's Assembly Hall.
An activity that is part of the programme for the celebration of "International Women's Day", among the initiatives planned is a teacher training course. "Women through the legacy of MARQ II. The Status of Women from Late Antiquity to the Middle Ages".which began yesterday and will continue on 8, 14 and 15 March from 5.30 p.m. in the Museum's Assembly Hall.
In addition, there will be educational workshops, both in the museum and in La Illeta dels Banyets for schoolchildren by prior arrangement, in which participants can learn what daily life was like in prehistoric times and whose aim is to promote values about women's work and the importance that women have had in the development of our societies.
Finally, on 9 March, the MARQ, in collaboration with ASAUTE, Aulas de la tercera Edad, has organised an event consisting of presentations by students of literary creation, a talk on "Women in Universal History" by ASAUTE history teachers and a performance by the musical group "ILUSIONES", which will bring the celebration of "International Women's Day" to a close.
