The Baños de la Reina is a Roman "vicus", that is to say, a large grouping of luxury Roman villas (2nd-3rd centuries AD) dedicated to rest, residence and leisure by the sea. Thus, each villa had its own thermal baths and its rooms and decorated interior spaces were equipped with paving and mosaics with materials brought from all over the Mediterranean.

They also had fish ponds for rearing and subsequent consumption, in the style of the great roman villas from the time of the Empire. In this enclave it is worth mentioning the Ferris wheelone of the best hydraulic infrastructures of the Roman period that have been preserved in the Valencian Community, which makes the site one of the most important archaeological areas in our territory.
