The MARQ and the Juan Gil-Albert Institute of Culture of Alicante will celebrate another year 'La Noche en BlancoTogether with other cultural centres in Alicante, integrated in the Museo de Alicante cultural platform, MUSEA. The date will be the next Friday 20 July and will include guided tours, concerts and educational workshopsamong other initiatives.
The Member of Parliament for Culture and Education, César Augusto AsencioThis morning, he presented the wide-ranging programme of activities of both centres of the Diputación de Alicante, which will share cultural offerings with The Cigarrerasthe MACA, La Lonja del Pescadothe Museum of the University of Alicante and the Volvo Ocean Race Museum. The event was also attended by the Councillor for Culture, María Dolores PadillaThe director of the Language and Culture Service of the University of Alicante, Faust Ripolland the director of the VOR museum, Laura Urrutia.
Asencio said that "once again this year, the Provincial Council has joined this initiative to participate with Alicante's museums and cultural centres and to offer an extraordinary range of museums that will allow families to enjoy an evening of culture". Last year, the centres of the Diputación de Alicante were visited by more than three thousand people on the occasion of this celebration.
The MARQ - with free access limited to capacity - has designed a special programme for the whole family, entitled The first settlerswill revolve around the exhibition 'Rupestre. The first sanctuaries'. and will last until one o'clock in the morning. The proposal Prehistoric Storytelling'. (from 19:00 to 20:00) will offer the little ones, from 3 to 6 yearsThe Cavernus character will give you the opportunity to learn about the life and customs of that period, while from 20:00 hours will begin the Rupestrian Painting workshops.
Throughout the evening there will be a clue game with challenges and adventures for all ages and at 24:00 hours the public will put their creativity to the test by participating in the creation of a collective mural. In addition, the music will be played in the MARQ gardensfirst with the Lindy Hop initiation workshop, which will start at 8.30 p.m.The event will be followed by performances by students and teachers who will put into practice everything they have learnt to the rhythm of swing. Last year's edition of the Noche en Blanco at MARQ was attended by 2,041 people.
