The MARQ becomes the first museum in Spain to obtain the Q for Tourism Quality certification.

The MARQ has expanded its extensive list of awards by becoming at on Spain's first museum certificate holder Q for Tourist QualityThe distinction that assesses the conditions of organisation, services and facilities establishments or companies in the sector.

The Alicante museum has received a excellent markwith a weighted result of all audited services of one 9.8 out of 10This, in the words of the deputy for Culture, César Augusto AsencioIt is a source of great pride for both the centre and the province, as it supports and consolidates the extraordinary management and services offered by the MARQ, which are also internationally recognised".

Among other qualities, it has audited the activity planningthe accessibilitythe information and visitor servicesas well as the security management for signage, exhibition areas, car park and shop. In addition, the seal, awarded by the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE)also values the development of the centre in harmony with the environment.

It should be recalled that the Archaeological Museum of Alicante, where scientific and research rigour coexists with a language of dissemination accessible to all, year after year exceeds its public attendance figures, reaching almost 150,000 visitors last year.
