The Israeli ambassador to Spain this morning made a very complete tour of the MARQ during his visit to Alicante. Daniel Kutner, who was received by the managing director of the MARQ Foundation, José Alberto Cortés and the technical director of the Museum, Manuel Olcina, toured the rooms of the Temporary Exhibition RUPESTRE following the explanations of its curator, Jorge Soler. In addition to the thematic rooms, he showed special interest in the scientific areas of the MARQ and was interested in the work of the restorers and curators. During the tour of the rooms, he stopped at the Rome room, where he discovered the archaeological value of the Tossal de Manises, with its emblematic Roman hand, and the Illeta dels Banyets, with its characteristic fish hatcheries. Before leaving the Museum on the way to the Lonja to visit also Van Gogh Alive has signed in the MARQ's book of honour.
Daniel Kutner is passionate about art and history, and has had a relationship with Spanish culture since he was a child. During his university studies he specialised in the Islamic World and wrote his doctoral thesis on the Relations between Spain and the Middle East.
