The MARQ leads the Quality of Tourism in Museums

Yesterday morning, the INNOR Standards Institute organised a Business Breakfast at the Alicante Business Centre aimed at professionals and agents of the sector in the province in order to highlight the value of tourism quality as an innovative strategy in museums, cultural and industrial tourism. The conference was opened by Eduardo Dolón, 1st Vice-President of the Provincial Council and Councillor for Tourism. One of the talks given by José Alberto Cortés, Managing Director of the MARQ Foundation, dealt with the keys to the success of a museum, the MARQ, which was the first in Spain to obtain the prestigious Q for Tourism Quality, explaining the whole process of preparation and auditing prior to certification. With this recognition, the MARQ has sought to highlight its vocation as a museum for everyone, capable of offering a quality service to all audiences. A task that has established it as a first-class accessible tourist destination, capable of meeting the expectations of all visitors to the Costa Blanca, especially families and those with different abilities. And it is evidence of a teamwork that borders on excellence, as accredited by the final rating obtained by the ICTE of 9.8 out of 10. A recognition of a trajectory of public service of all the MARQ staff throughout its young career, since H.M. Queen Sofia inaugurated it on 28 May 2002.
