The Instituto Alicantino de Cultura Juan Gil Albert was yesterday the scene of a moving reading of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The event was attended by people and institutions representing all areas of Alicante's culture, who recited the preamble and the 30 articles of this document, proclaimed by the General Assembly of the United Nations in Paris on 10 December 1948. The voices of María José Argudo, Director of Culture of the Provincial Council and María Dolores Padilla, Councillor for Culture, opened the reading, which was also attended by the Technical Director of the MARQ, Manuel Olcina.
