Christmas can be enjoyed by learning at MARQ

The Christmas holidays are a very special time for all of us at MARQ, a time when many students who have visited our galleries on an arranged visit to their schools and also many children from Alicante and others who live outside the city visit us during these days, come to MARQ to have fun and learn a little more about our history and the richness of our heritage.

This week, more than 400 children have participated in the activities programmed by the MARQ Foundation's Didactic Department and there are still many surprises in store for the first days of 2019, all of them related to the Christmas theme and the temporary exhibition. Plastihistory of Humanity.

On Wednesday 2 January, at 10.30 am there will be an animated visit to Plastihistoria, at 11.15 am a fantastic treasure hunt game and from 12 noon onwards, the children will put their manual skills to the test with a Snowman workshop. On Thursday 3 January, after the visit and the treasure hunt, there will be a Three Wise Men workshop. All activities are free of charge, and to take part in them you only need to register at the museum's ticket offices on the day of the activity, from 10am onwards. As a show of solidarity with the less fortunate, families are asked to donate a kilo of any non-perishable food, which will go to the Alicante Food Bank.
