The historians María and Laura Lara will present tomorrow, from 6 p.m. onwards, in the MARQ Auditorium, their new book A Brief History of Spain. From Atapuerca to the age of globalisation.. An entertaining and didactic work that brings together the history of Spain in a single volume aimed at reading for the general public and, at the same time, as a manual for students. The book, now in its third edition, offers a profound and rigorous reflection on the key events in Spanish history and is full of anecdotes that even changed its course. María and Laura Lara have an almost frenetic activity: they have carried out research in Paris and Harvard, have won university and literary prizes, give talks to housewives in public libraries, work as lecturers at the Universidad a Distancia de Madrid (Udima), have a PhD in Philosophy, have published several books and are regular contributors to programmes such as La Aventura del Saber on La 2 on Televisión Española and La Historia contada and Relatos con Historia on Cadena Ser.
