Next Monday 8th April at 11:00 a.m. there will be a Working Session with students and teachers at the IES La Foia de Ibi, with the participation of Josep A. Cortés, Gema Sala and Rafael Moya, Managing Director, Coordinator and Technician of the Didactic Unit of the MARQ Foundation; the curator of the exhibition "Rupestre. The first Sanctuaries" and professor of Prehistory at the University of Alicante, Virginia Barciela, and the representative of the Faculty of Education of the University of Murcia, specialist in Historical Competences and Heritage, Ainoa Escribá.
All this as the culmination of the Historical and Artistic Educational Project carried out by the MARQ in the IES La Foia in collaboration with the History and Art History teachers of this Educational Centre Cristina Galvañ and Sara Ferrero, by virtue of the Agreement signed between the MARQ Foundation and the IES La Foia, last year 2018.
This project entitled "Museums and Heritage for the acquisition of Historical Competences in Educational Centres: Prehistory in the province of Alicante" has consisted of the realization of a Didactic Unit based on Historical Competences and having as a reference and main basis of the work the MARQ, its contents and, in particular, the Exhibition "RUPESTRE. The First Sanctuaries", which was on display at the Alicante museum from July 2018 to January 2019.
The day will begin with the intervention of the students who will show part of the work done throughout the course: "Living Art" made by the Drawing teacher María Belda, thematic map, panels of Rock Art, prehistoric library, projection of documentaries produced by the MARQ, projection of photographs of the work done and live painting of "La Orante" (El Pla de Petracos, Castell de Castells), and will end with a small snack in the foyer of the Educational Centre.
