The MARQ Education Department has designed a special Easter programme for children and families, full of activities, which will take place both in the Provincial Archaeological Museum of Alicante and in the Tossal de Manises archaeological sites, Lucentum, and the Illeta dels Banyets.
The first dramatised visit to the international exhibition will be held on Sunday 21 April. Iran. Cradle of Civilisations. Our character, Sanguí, a relief of the palace of Persepolis, comes to life to explain in a fun and entertaining way the history of Iran from its origins to the 15th century, showing important aspects such as the birth of writing, the splendour of the Achaemenid empire, the Persians and Islamic art. Tickets can be purchased in advance through InstantTicket or directly at the MARQ box office on the day of the event, until full capacity is reached, estimated at 35 people.
From 23 to 26 April, coinciding with the Easter school holidays, children will have the opportunity to learn about the history of Alicante and the fascinating world of archaeology in an entertaining and rigorous way, as well as to get to know the great empires of the ancient world through the exhibition Iran. Cradle of Civilisations.
