The German Archaeological Institute concludes the scientific meeting held at the MARQ Archaeological Museum of Alicante, on 17 and 18 September, to analyse recent research in studies on metal production, especially the emergence of iron and steel. On Friday the 20th, the participants visited the sites of Tossal de Manises Lucentum and La Illeta dels Banyets, which are part of the archaeological heritage of the Diputación de Alicante, as well as the site of La Alcudia de Elche, belonging to the University of Alicante. A valuable opportunity, according to the researchers, to learn about and appreciate the historical processes in their geographical framework through the important cultural legacy of the province of Alicante.
