The Belgian ambassador to Spain, Marc Calcoen, has taken advantage of a brief stay in Alicante to get to know the MARQ in depth. On his arrival at the Archaeological Museum of Alicante, the Belgian diplomat was received by the managing director of the MARQ Foundation, José Alberto Cortés, and by the technical director of the Museum, Manuel Olcina, and he toured all the rooms of the permanent collection and also the work areas such as the research office, the restoration workshop, the storage rooms and the amphorae. At the end of the visit, he signed the MARQ's book of honour. The ambassador is a great connoisseur of the history and culture of Spain through its museums.
