The MARQ starts on Monday a programme of Easter Week activities to do from home

 

The Provincial Archaeological Museum (MARQ) of the Alicante Provincial Council starts next Monday, April 6th, the Easter activities programme. The Vice-President and Member of Parliament for Culture, Julia ParraThe aim of this activity is to recover a proposal that has been carried out for fourteen years now, in which hundreds of families participate, although on this occasion it will be carried out through online channels with the intention of being able to reach all households," he explained.

Parra explained that the aim of the initiative "is to provide content to enjoy these days of rest in a cultural, participative and entertaining environment that makes this special Easter that families will experience at home more enjoyable".

The MARQ Foundation has prepared numerous activities for learning and fun. The calendar of events can be consulted via the blog 'Semana Santa online con el Marq' (Easter Week online with the Marq) which can be accessed from the website www.marqalicante.com.

In this space will be shared winning stories of the educational project 'Tales from the MARQ'.This is an opportunity to get to know the works of young authors who explore prehistory, the world of the Iberians, Roman culture and the Middle Ages. Downloadable materials will also be shared, among them puzzles, drawings and hobbieswith didactic contents museum, archaeological sites, monuments and temporary exhibitions.

The team involved in the content development will continue to deliver workshops didactic proposals such as the making of an Iberian loom, a shield, an offering or a decorated ceramic vase. In the next few days it will also be released, explanatory videos of the exhibition 'Idols, millenary glances' and virtual site visits in which curiosities will be revealed.
