MARQ designs a full programme of on-site and online activities to enjoy Easter Week

The MARQ has organised a complete programme to enjoy the Museum and its sites at Easter with both face-to-face and virtual proposals, the latter accessible from any device. The first vice-president and deputy for Culture, Julia ParraHe expressed his satisfaction "because we are gradually recovering live activities with all the health guarantees, assuring the public that the distances and capacities established by the authorities are complied with, while still offering other online alternatives that are also in great demand".

The animated tours start on Friday 2 April and will continue until the 11th at the Museum and the archaeological sites. An option for the whole family to enjoy the alicante's archaeological heritageThe permanent collection, which ranges from Prehistory to the Middle Ages, as well as the unique sites of the Illeta dels Banyets and the Tossal de Manises Lucentum.

Among the activities designed for these school holidays, the following also stand out educational workshops which are offered free of charge. The face-to-face proposalswith limited capacity to ten participants, are focused on boys and girls aged 6 to 12 and will focus on Prehistory, Contestania, Rome and the Middle Ages, preceded by a visit to one of the MARQ's rooms. At the sites there will be excavation workshops with very entertaining itineraries that will end with a game of clues.

The main objective of this calendar is to to show the MARQ's installations and archaeological sites, mainly to children, in a dynamic and participative way.The aim of the project, through games, workshops and entertainment, is to learn about the history of the province through archaeological research, to value and protect the cultural and environmental heritage, and to encourage teamwork.

ARCHEOLOGICAL SITES

Excavation workshop and treasure hunt. At 11:30 am. Registration by telephone on 965 149 000. The four days of activities will be divided into two days at each site, 6 and 7 April at Tossal de Manises and 8 and 9 April at La Illeta dels Banyets. Approximate duration 2 hours.
