The MARQ recovers pre-pandemic figures this long weekend with more than two thousand visitors to 'Etruscans'.

  

 

     A total of 2,264 people have enjoyed these festive days of the open days organised by the MARQ to visit the international exhibition free of charge Etruscans. The dawn of Rome'.. The Museum has thus regained its pre-covid records with an influx of visitors that has exceeded expectations.

From last Saturday 9 October until yesterday, Tuesday, Columbus Day, the Alicante Museum has offered the possibility of contemplating this unique exhibition which brings together 150 original pieces, on loan from the museums of the region. Archaeological of Florence and Guarnacci of Volterra.

The busiest day of the year was yesterday tuesday, 12 octoberwith a total of 933 visitorsfollowed by Saturday with 803 people -The two open days scheduled for this weekend - and of the Sunday 10th with 528 visits. A festive long weekend that many locals and tourists, who have spent these days in the city, have taken advantage of to make a cultural journey through the history of the civilisations that have populated the Mediterranean, enjoying archaeology and Alicante's autumn in equal parts.

Etruscans. The Dawn of Rome' is an initiative of the MARQ Foundation and the Superintendence of Archaeological Heritage of the Province of Pisa and Livorno. It includes a selection of original pieces from the National Archaeological Museum of Florence (MAF) and the Etruscan Guarnacci Museum of Volterraone of the oldest in Italy, and has counted with the participation of the company Contemporanea Progetti, based in Florence.
