"Gladiatorial Games in Lucentum".

  

2,000 years later Lucentum, the ancient Roman city of Alicante, revived its past with the VII Edition of the Historical Recreation Days "Lucentum Reviviscit" and the Gladiator Games, which 665 people enjoyed this past weekend of 14-15 May.

Activities were carried out by 28 reenactors from the state-wide Association, founded in 2000 and based in Toledo, Roman Hispania(which has been collaborating with MARQ since 2015) and 15 reenactors from the Asociación Gladiatorial GestaThe exhibition, set up in 2018, is based in Barcelona and Tarragona. "Precisely to take advantage of the international exhibition now and until 16 October at the MARQ, "Gladiators. Heroes of the Coliseum", so that we can get a closer look at this fascinating world", as the Vice-president and Head of Culture of the Alicante Provincial Council announced to the media on Thursday 12 May.

International Exhibition which on Sunday 15th May reached 15,626 visitors since it opened its doors to the public on 13th April.
