The Easter school holiday campaign organised by the Didactic Unit and Club Llumiq of the Fundación CV MARQ has ended with the participation of more than one hundred young people registered in the workshops that have been developed around the exhibition international The legacy of the Qin and Han dynasties, China. The warriors of Xi'an.
Through these activities, the participants have been able to discover such an exciting culture with the Chinese, making them realise that it is not just an exhibition of archaeological objects of extraordinary quality, but the expression of a heritage that symbolises the essence of a country.
In the workshops that have taken place in the Museum, our youngest friends have been working on the drawing of a terracotta Qin warrior, from the Museum of the Mausoleum of the First Emperor in Xi'an in textiles; they have reproduced a censer of the Han dynasty from the Shaanxi History Museum; they have made one of the most recognisable symbolic objects in Chinese culture today: Chinese lanterns and, on the last day, they spent it getting to know a little more about this millenary culture through its games and customs.
On the other hand, the activities that have taken place at the sites of La Illeta in El Campello and Lucentum in Alicante, have served both to make them known together with the evolution of the surrounding territory, and to discover the process followed by the archaeological excavation method.
The activities, which are completely free of charge, are aimed at children and young people between the ages of 6 and 12, with a maximum capacity of 25 participants.
