The MARQ Foundation's open days have been visited by 5,365 people

 

 

The Diputación de Alicante, through its Archaeological Museum and the Fundación CV MARQ, celebrated the DIM-2023 with an extensive programme of activities for all audiences that included free access to the Archaeological Museum, the Lucentum and La Illeta sites and the Almudaina Almohad Tower on 18, 20 and 21 May, with the attendance of 5,335 people. Of these, 4,884 visited the MARQ, 158 the Lucentum site, 253 the site of La Illeta dels Banyets in Campello and 41 the Almudaina Tower.
 

The deputy of Culture of the Diputación de Alicante, Juan de Dios Navarro considers "a success the organisation of these open days at the MARQ that bring culture closer to the visitor, not only through free access to the museum, exhibitions, monuments and archaeological sites, but also by encouraging their participation in workshops and activities related to our history and heritage and, this year, also to that of China".

During these days of celebration of the IWD, the Didactic Unit of the Fundación CV MARQ organised dramatised visits, workshops, games for families and the design of letters of the Chinese alphabet, activities that complemented the visit to the exhibition. The Legacy of the Qin and Han Dynasty, China. The warriors of Xi'an and to the Museum's permanent galleries.

In addition, since Thursday 18 May, a new exhibition has been on display in the Museum's hall, entitled The Carpathian Princess, an exceptional Argaric burial site of San Antón, in Orihuela.
