15-06-23.- The MARQ will implement from tomorrow, 16 June, the new timetable summer season which will extend the opening of the museum until 22:00 hours and will extend the guided tours of the exhibition 'The Warriors of Xi'an', the last showing of which will be at 21:00. In addition, once again this year, the programme 'Summer at MARQ' focused on the youngest members of the family.
According to the deputy for Culture, Juan de Dios NavarroThese summer activities are aimed at reinforcing the cultural content of the MARQ and also become an additional attraction for our visitors, as they add a plus to consolidate the necessary differentiation as a first class tourist destination". This extension of the opening hours to the public will be effective until Friday 15th September, coinciding with the summer holidays and the high tourist season on the Costa Blanca.
The new agendafrom 10:00 to 22:00 hours from Tuesday to Saturday and from 10:00 to 14:00 hours on Sundays.- shall apply exclusively to the museum. The archaeological sites and monuments can be visited from 9:00 to 13:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00 hours, to avoid the hours of greatest exposure to the sun outdoors, and the Cova de l'Or in Beniarrés will organise its last visit on the 2nd of July and will close its doors for the rest of the summer to avoid the hottest months.
On the other hand, the Fundación CV MARQ has organised for the youngest children the summer programme of activitieswhich includes the 19th edition of 'Summer at MARQ'. This school for children will begin on Monday 3 July and will last for eight weeks with activities such as workshops and guided visits. The activities are aimed at children from 6 to 14 years old, and up to 45 children per week can be accommodated, from 9:00 to 14:00 hours, with a general fee of 45 euros per week per participant. To participate in these activities, prior registration is required through the MARQ website or by calling the telephone numbers listed on the website.
