Today and tomorrow the MARQ is hosting a series of international conferences in which experts from China and Europe will analyse the latest scientific breakthroughs on the Xi'an Warriors. Archaeologists, historians, museologists and researchers will share the most recent discoveries in the field and in the laboratory and will also debate on the legacy of the Qin and Han dynasties in later centuries.
The Deputy for Culture, Juan de Dios Navarrowas in charge of inaugurating this conclave organised by the area that he directs, together with the Fundación CV MARQ, and which represents the first public presentation in Spain of the most recent discoveries on the subject. The museum's Assembly Hall is the setting for the extensive programme of activities which, under the name of '.The warriors of Xi'an and their legacy: science and archaeology', intends answer and uncover questions related to the burial complex of China's first emperor.
This archaeological site and its terracotta armyconsidered one of the most important in the world, was discovered almost 50 years ago by chancea fact that started one of the most ambitious and cutting-edge research projects in history of archaeology.
The scientific conference to be held on 7 and 8 September at the MARQ will focus on answering questions related to this transcendental discovery for humanity, such as why these warriors are so important, how the mausoleum was built and what is known about its builders, in addition to the methods used by experts to answer new questions and analysing the legacy received more than two thousand years ago.

All of them will travel to Alicante for the first time and exclusively for this event.
