The Archaeological Museum of Alicante has programmed these proposals, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.to offer the opportunity for all audiences to visit this international exhibition, the only one of its kind in Spainwhich, until last September, had broken all visitor records with the registration of more than 162,000 people. As on previous occasions, the conference will be extended to the archaeological sites of Lucentum in Alicante and La Illeta dels Banyets in El Campello, as well as to the Almudaina Tower in El Comtat.
The Deputy for Culture, Juan de Dios NavarroNavarro pointed out that with this type of initiative "we want to encourage visits to the museum and offer the opportunity to visit an exhibition that has ratified the MARQ not only as one of the main cultural bets of Alicante but of the whole country". Navarro added that, in this way, "we maintain the institution's firm commitment to bring culture closer to all citizens and to consolidate it as a tourist product on offer on the Costa Blanca".
The terracotta army of Xi'an, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Siteis one of the most dazzling archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. Created more than 2,000 years ago by order of the first emperor of China, Qin Shihuang, they maintain an interest and attraction of international repercussion that continues to this day. Recognised as the eighth wonder of the world, the exhibition can be visited in the MARQ until 28 January 2024.
