The MARQ CV Foundation organised open days on 9 and 12 October to visit the MARQ, the Illeta and Lucentum archaeological sites in Albufereta and the Almudaina Almohad Tower, and received a total of 4964 visits.
The balance of these two days shows that 3.850 people have visited the international exhibition "The Legacy of the Qin and Han Dynasties, China. The Warriors of Xi'an" and the permanent halls of the MARQ; 446 people have been touring the Lucentum site; 630 have contemplated the site of La Illeta in El Campello and 38 people have enjoyed the medieval defence fortification of the Almudaina Almohad Tower.
For the deputy for Culture, Juan de Dios Navarro/president of the Diputación de Alicante, Toni Pérez, "enhancing the value of our heritage and bringing culture closer to the citizens are two objectives on which the Diputación de Alicante focuses its resources and efforts. Having a museum such as the Archaeological Museum of Alicante, MARQ, as a flagship of the archaeological culture of our province and that thanks to exhibitions such as the ones it is hosting today on the warriors of Xi'an, place us on the national and international scene".
Since its inauguration on 28 March and until 15 October, the MARQ exhibition on the warriors of Xi'an has been visited by the following people 177,404 people. The exhibition will remain open until 28 January 2024.
