MARQ presents its Didactic Guide to enrich the educational community's visit to the museum and archaeological sites

 

The MARQ has presented the educational programming of the Museum for the 2023-2024 school year, another tool to give students the opportunity to enrich their experience during their visit, both to the facilities and to the sites and monuments.

The programming of the didactic guide is developed from the Didactics, Accessibility, Club Llumiq and Social Responsibility Unit of the CV MARQ Foundation. and, as explained by the deputy for Culture and vice-president of the Foundation, Juan de Dios NavarroThe aim of the exhibition, "is to bring students closer to the permanent exhibition and the temporary exhibitions on display at the Museum, in order to arouse curiosity and active learning".

The didactic guide proposes a journey that begins in the Prehistory and ends in the Modern and Contemporary Ages.The exhibition is accompanied by adapted workshops that allow schoolchildren to actively participate in games, stories and workshops in the reproduction of decorative elements of Iberian ceramics, looms, Roman mosaics and cave art, among others. "This tool offers an excellent resource to promote understanding of our history and encourage schoolchildren to protect, respect and conserve our heritage," said Navarro.

These experiences also extend to the deposits of Lucentum in Alicante, La Illeta in El Campello, the Cova de l'Or in Beniarrés and the Pla de Petracos in Castell de Castells.as well as to the monuments of the Almohad Tower of Almudaina and the Cava Gran of AgresThe exhibition "The Legacy of the Qin and Han Dynasties, China", owned by the Provincial Council, is part of the educational offer that the Fundación CV MARQ makes available to the school community. This edition includes the exhibition "The Legacy of the Qin and Han Dynasties, China. The Warriors of Xi'an", which can be visited until 28 January 2024 and offers guided tours and workshops adapted to each educational level. 

More than eighty teachers from all over the province attended this week's presentation of the Didactic Guide 2023-24, with the participation of the Museum's director, Manuel Olcinathe managing director of the Fundación CV MARQ, José Alberto Cortésand with the technicians of the Didactics Unit.
